one of the early Saints of the church said that the glory of God is Man Fully Alive Grand Theft Auto a Minds in our hearts play Fighters are police officers at the heart of Saint Isaac jogues school is a person Jesus Christ education in virtue and through academic what family of the Cycles in love him virtue steeped in learning knighted and community The Acts of the Apostles God offers to his children and image of Hoover called to be as a Christian Community we read about what life is like for the first Believers in Jesus those who had witnessed his death and resurrection and first came to believe that Direction in New Life was possible in the apostles we read how the early Apostles went out and preach the good news to everyone and many people converted ask if I came into the church they began to form a community and that Community gives us a model of who were called to be as a Christian Community we read that the early Christians were faithful the teachings of the Apostles that they held all things in common that they gather together to break bread and that they prayed together here at Saint Isaac's this is the model that we take for ourselves and for our students this is where identity is rooted here at Saint Isaac's we are founded on faith steeped in learning United as a community and a life and virtue even in her earliest days purchase always been faithful to the teachings of Christ handed down through the apostles and herot Saint Isaac's we maintain that Fidelity everyday our students under the person of Jesus through their teachers through one another through religion class in the hallways and every person that they meet we are firm believer that Christ is rooted in every soul that through our baptism we are other Christ to one another and our students are blessed to live that everyday in many ways I met Jesus and school when I go to mass I meet him with my friends play treat me good everyday when I'm doing my work and going to church and praying I mean Jesus and school when I see other people acting as Jesus I'm doing good deeds church because it is very quiet and there when I pray to him he appears always with you injuring special sacraments confession and baptism I mean Jesus in school in the search nnr religion class and it's really helpful that we have a sister to teach us the ways of our faith since I have attended an essay my faith has grown a lot because I go to mass I learn a lot at religion with my teachers we learn as a class about Jesus and we always support each other and becoming true Christians I really religion program because it focuses on what Jesus did to save us my faith has grown while attending sin Isaac spy are different classes we have for religion and for the eighth grade are confirmation class hours each week it's really easy cuz you hear the priest Hocking and you listen and then you remember that and then you use it what he says my life my children's faith has definitely grown during their time at Saint Isaac's I think particularly when the virtues were introduced it really helped them to see what it meant to have a relation with Christ and to be a good person in to be a good citizen and it brought that into our family discussion being part of the Faith organization everyday has definitely landed itself to open more discussions for us they talk about religion class they talk about sister Catherine Marie come go to the classroom in and taking on conversations with the kids or Father Brian and father Daryl coming in didn't him he treats people like they you know with respect and he's polite that you see that in him and it's it's Christ joining our children's Faith grow has inspired us as a family it makes us want to be more faithful beautiful thing is that the educational system was actually started by the Catholic church and their many reasons why that was the case I think the foundational one is that when Christ came he changed everything and we realized that every human being has infinite worth and because God chose to become like us and then you add in the factor that Jesus is the word he is perfect wisdom until for the Christian learn to come to know him to come to know God and the better we know God the better we know ourselves so again this is the model that we take carrots and Isaac's is everything that we learn about no matter if it's math or science or religion or or literature our students are encountering Christ and there kitchenette themselves better they're coming to the world around them better in the world that God gave them and created for them our students come alive in the classroom because learning is a way for them to get to know themselves better and the world in which they live and how they truly do possess the power and and the gift from to be able to make the world a better place my favorite subject is math as a Nivens I like learning all kinds of things like math and science and social studies are teachers are really nice they really help me if I'm struggling with anything saw the Hands-On activities we do at scene Isaacs also like how the teachers give us a time to do and ask questions in class I like the classes and all the different activities we do that the teachers give us play the future in high school and college I feel good about the things I'm learning it's in Isaac's um I think that what we learn it's in Isaac's is going to spots in our lives and that we will be able to get a good education and that will help us get into good schools cuz next year when I run during High School this is really preparing for what it's going to come with you I like learning cuz there's not just a great education the teachers are amazing like never mean to us they helped us like not just move past a lesson because everyone else understands it they'll take the move on but they'll take time to teach us how to do the lessons we found our curriculum based on the four pillars that we believe in to speak to the whole child and to create a great community and a great educational environment for everyone I think one of the things in the classroom that's impressed us the most is the teachers and the dedication that they have go above and beyond not just teaching from the book and teaching you know all the stuff that you expect the standard stuff but really going above and beyond to relate things that are going on to the kids in the class so for example in first grade our son last year went to the Henry Ford Museum and I was able to go and chaperone or me part of the day and it was it was amazing how much they already knew about the different things they were going to see and how that put it put it into context for them is it mean to throw a kid into something without any contacts it can be the most amazing thing in the world and it might still clean something from it but it really won't be that meaningful for them to go as prepared as they were really let them experience and appreciate everything in a whole way that wasn't possible other and that was all done through you know a commitment from a teacher to take time on her own not part of a buck not part of the curriculum and really you know Stellar cell fully into it was just great to see the lab Learners the new lab is just beautiful the kids like to get in there they like to do the science project he's he's play come home he talks about it and I think that's has been a great enhancement for Saint Isaac's curriculum and an eighth grader and feel that they have benefited very greatly from this program I work in the science science field for my career and on Tuesdays I volunteer where they use hands on stuff here there's real beakers there's glass there's plastic There's real balances just like in the laboratory the things we use everyday my line of work are here for these kids to learn the lab benches are the same there's lots of hands on here which is the best thing they could get they don't have to go to a tech look they learn right from the eight cabinets there in this room experiences that our kids are having with their teachers and general are so much better than any will it we've seen in any of the schools that they've gone to and they've been to a few between daycares and an elementary schools with the older boys that the what did the teachers put in to dealing with the kids and interacting with the kids and making sure that if they don't understand how the book is teaching them that they go over it in a different way so that their minds can pick it up in and understand what they're doing it's just wonderful one area that I have seen my children Excel and there are several but one that stands out for my my two boys is the reading in the English because they don't like it it's not natural to them it's not their favorite subject and when they entered Middle School they again we're kind challenge they had to work really hard but the way they have developed in their writing incredible and in fact they had just taken some standardized testing and we're well beyond their grade level 4 say that which I expected in math and science but certainly not in the writing in the reading that the turn the future is very rigorous but I believe It prepares them very well for high school I sent Isaac's we have a very strong virtue based curriculum our students are encountering virtue every single day from the morning announcements to the end of the day announcements in a million times throughout the day in the classroom the purpose of virtual education is that it gives our students the language to be able to Express the choices if they make and how they can grow the beautiful thing about virtue is that it's not a behavior program it's something that's human it's I talk about what I'm growing in their teachers talk about whether she's there growing in her parents talk about what virtues they're going and the concept is that I am good and I love doing great thanks with God's grace and by thinking about virtuous and talking about virtuous we're given very specific and intentional ways in which I can grow and be more the person that God intends me to be the great saint that he wants me to be virtue important because they help you become more like a saint because the only way that you can go to have this from them because that way you'll be you'll be kind to be good you won't be like me and two others and they help you grow closer to God for Jesus are important because they are a little acts of kindness we can do to strengthen our relationship with God which is our important cuz they tell you how to live or choose to just eat like just how the teachers teachers teach us how to be kind and sweet I learn about religion and that helps me to learn about verchio's our teachers and father girl have taught us many things about God how to practice the virtues they asked us what we need to work on and then act as at the end of the week did you think do you think that you really practice this and that you are getting better at being kind and patient and when we practice server Tuesday we pray to God and we pray that he will help us grow closer to him so even the little things that we do can lead us to the big virtues back of the room and has all different kinds of Virtues I don't like kindness and respect all different kinds of her to three practice over to all throughout the month and every week we write down something we did with the virtue and then at the end of the month to write a few paragraphs about her virtue and that really helped me to think about how I'm practicing my life and my favorite virtue is kindness because when you're kind to others makes you feel good but it also makes them feel good everyone's at sane as it shows kindness and it shows me how to be even Kinder patience is my favorite virtue because it is something I need to work on my favorite virtue is honesty because it is very hard to be honest especially in what time's my favorite virtue is self-control because it helps you calm down and you can relax and you can focus more on God my favorite virtue is service cuz I like helping people and it's a lot of fun virtuous generosity because I like giving the people of taking from I love giving to the poor and Christmas is a great time because you're a giving gifts to others my favorite virtue is perseverance because it shows that God is with you whenever you're in what situation and he'll love you through anything my favorite is patience because if you're in a long line you can have my favorite show weather virtue probably has to be respect because you have to have respect for every like your teacher is your high school teachers your county your college teachers even when you're an adult you have to have respect for anybody anybody that you me and you know because if you don't it's not going to end up pretty loving my best friends in the like to them virtue has played a role for our children at school and at home I just see it when they they walk through the door that use the length I'm they they talk about respect and they talk about prayerfulness and they talk about kindness and and then you know their little siblings estimate turn in a explain it to them and it's been really amazing to see you know the trickle-down effect with the little ones well as pair when's virtues are extremely important to us and that's how we like to live by example in her own home so it's important for us to have our children grow up to be kind loving caring citizens and I think having those virtues as a stepping stool is great example for all of us to live by the virtues isn't just a campaign slogan that that you live by it's living a good life everyday and I think once you they learned about the virtues and they continue to grow in and live it you're just a good person all around we're both in public service and I deal with people everyday not always good people but I learn turn to through all my entire career that you treat people with a little bit of respect and you get respect back it's an everyday when we track with people Ryan Macy and he may not some other child may see how I interact with somebody and know you have to set an example and treat people right and our it shows in our sun please kind he's polite he treat people with respect he wants to help people and it's it's in his heart and it starts with us and yelled through the in the school here at safe Isaacs we are truly one family I've been here now for three years as the principal and from the first moment I walk through these doors I've been welcomed as a sister in Christ by everybody that I encounter from the teachers to the parents to the we are a family who care for one another just as the early church cared for one another we look out for one another we help each other when we're in need and we support one another through good times and through difficult times I love that soon as X is a great school and helps you how closer to God we have nice teachers to help us when we're confused what I love about sign Isaac's is that we go to mass we learned a lot about Jesus and we get a good education we have all kinds of learning opportunities and new science lab because we get to learn when's the new fangs I love all the nice students nice teachers nice nice principal all the sisters I really love Sports we have sisters here and we get to go to church and we also get to learn about God I love how sweet and kind of staff and students are I love that they really do like appreciate Jesus can I show it all around the school I'm in 8th grade now I've been here since preschool and all the different teachers that come and go and all the different activities we do and all the friends that I've grown up with has helped me act more like Christ and has helped me get closer to Christ favorite thing about the family I feel so comfortable leaving the kids here and I know that they're in good hands and everybody cares for them I love the family unit in with insane yeah it's a very close-knit Community here and you can feel the love when you walk in through the doors and you know that the faith is strong and that everyone is one big tight-knit family that's what we love about it the most greatest let's being part of the scene Isaac family has been the community so I now have middle schoolers anybody who has middle schoolers knows they don't talk to you as much or maybe not as involved in their life you don't always now what's going on having a courtesy and Isaac has it feels like a village to me and I feel like they're helping me through you know a different difficult part of raising your kid you know adolescence it's tough It's especially in this day and age it's not easy to raise an adolescent in this day in age and I feel like the maybe I've had from the teachers and the principal the parents other students has been invaluable and I would iPad that and another school is an amazing Christian Community and I'm so happy to be a part of it we've been welcomed here since the first day we step through the doors and we really made a lot of great friendships with other parents and just the families in general and you know even through some difficult times tragedies that we've had in our community people have just come together and it's been so amazing to see and even though it's hard it's if you can see Christ working through everybody here when everybody just pulled together and really comes through for whoever set most at that time it's my hope that you would consider joining our family because it seen Isaac switch truly believe the Saint Isaac's family is never big enough until All God's Children are included in it
