Sr. Marie Jeannette began teaching Kindergarten at St. Isaac Jogues in 2020.
She received her bachelor's degree in special education from Eastern Michigan University in 2018.
This is her first year teaching Kindergarten. Before coming to St. Isaac Jogues, she taught K-8 special education for two years in Sacramento, CA. She also has several years of experience planning and teaching religious youth summer programs. Sister is experienced at and passionate about using multi-sensory phonics instruction to teach beginning readers. She also loves designing hands-on explorations of science and social studies concepts for her students.
Sister entered the Dominican Sisters of Mary in 2011 and made her final vows in 2019. She enjoys reading, hiking, anything that can become a competition, and leading her students closer to Christ. She is originally from Charlotte, NC and loves tea...both hot and sweetened.
