St. Isaac Jogues student council officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) are elected by their peers in May of each year. Each candidate prepares a speech and campaigns for their election.
Each Fourth through Eighth grade classroom elects one classroom representative and an alternate inclusive of their classroom.
The student council represents the entire student body. The activities and fundraisers they plan throughout the school year are shining examples of the Christian Faith-filled atmosphere here at SIJ.
Past activities indude:
* Canned good food drive
* Greating parishioners during Catholic Schools week.
* Hosting a fantastic breakfast for the parishioners here at St. Isaac Jogues.
* Blanket drive for a local homeless shelter
* Game show fun for the students appreciation activity
But most importantly, the students chosen for our council are responsible for the christian voice of all of our students.
