The SIJ Annual Fund is our annual giving campaign that runs in conjunction with the school's fiscal year of July 1st - June 30th. A major source of operating income for the school, the Annual Fund supports everything that our school is and does. The Annual Fund touches all aspects of our school, helping us to maintain the academic excellence for which we are known, all while giving the school the flexibility to use these essential resources where they are most needed.
As is the case with most independent schools, tuition covers only 74% of the total cost of educating each student. Every year, Annual Fund gifts provide the resources needed to meet our operating budget, while continuing to provide the highest level of academics and enrichment programs, take care of our facilities, equip our classrooms with technology and innovative educational aids, and hire and retain the best teachers.
By demonstrating strong participation in the Annual Fund effort, outside donors, foundations and income sources are more inclined to support our school. Important to them is whether our constituency has done its part before they offer their help. Prospective students and their parents also see it as a measure of parent and alumni satisfaction.
Participation is what's important. It encourages investment and community. We ask you to give to the best of your ability and at a level that demonstrates the value placed on an exemplary education.
